Your Financial Life; In One Place
Your investments, your taxes, your insurance, and your estate are not six separate problems, they all play a unique role in your financial life
We build a financial plan with you, and coordinate directly with your CPA and estate attorney (or help you find the right ones) so nothing falls through the cracks. We work with individuals, families, and business owners across Chadds Ford, Glen Mills, Kennett Square, and West Chester, and the US.
Financial Planning
The plan that holds every other plan together.
Financial planning isn't a one and done task. It's the ongoing practice of matching what you have to what you want your life to look like, and adjusting as things change.
We start by asking important questions on your life, goals, and concerns. Then we shape your plan, from how your portfolio is built to how your estate is structured.
We build a plan that connects all the pieces and meet with you to revisit the plan along the way, and adjust before small gaps become expensive ones. Whether you're just starting to build wealth or managing a business you plan to pass down, this is where that work begins.
Risk Management
Growth without protection isn't a strategy.
Every portfolio carries risk. We build every recommendation on precise, quantitative analysis of how much risk you're actually taking on, not just how much you say you're comfortable with.
We start by measuring your real risk tolerance against your real time horizon and your real financial goals. We use that analysis to build a portfolio that matches your capacity for risk.
From there, we manage risk actively rather than setting a portfolio and walking away. That means diversification, periodic rebalancing, and stress-testing your plan against downturns before they happen, not reacting to them after.
Tax-Efficient Planning
What you keep matters as much as what you earn.
You want to keep more of your money. That’s why we look at tax efficiency across your entire financial picture. That includes the order in which you draw down accounts in retirement, whether a Roth conversion makes sense in a particular year, how gains and losses are harvested across your portfolio, and how charitable giving, business income, or a windfall should be structured to minimize what you owe.
We revisit your tax strategy each year, since the opportunities like harvesting a loss or timing a conversion, are often only available for a narrow window.
Insurance Planning
The plan that protects every other plan.
A financial plan is only as strong as its weakest link, and for many families that weak link is an uninsured or underinsured risk sitting quietly in the background: a disability with no income replacement, a long-term care need with no funding source, a life insurance policy that hasn't been reviewed since it was purchased.
We treat insurance as part of the plan, not a product sold separately from it. We look at what coverage you already have, where it's redundant, where it's missing, and what it would take to close the gap without paying for coverage you don't need.
We don't lead with insurance products. We lead with the question of what's at risk, and whether insurance is the right tool to manage it, alongside everything else in your plan.
Estate Planning
The legacy you leave should be a decision, not a default.
Without a plan, the state decides who gets what, how quickly, and under what conditions. Estate planning is how you make sure that decision stays yours.
We start with the basics every plan needs: an up-to-date will, the right powers of attorney, and beneficiary designations that actually match your current wishes. From there, we look at whether more advanced tools make sense for your situation.
We don't draft these documents ourselves. We work alongside your estate attorney, or help you find one, so your legal documents and your financial plan say the same thing.
Our goal is to put plans in place that help you stop worrying about "what happens if," and start focusing on the legacy you actually want to leave.
Retirement Planning
You should feel excited about your future, not unsure.
For most of your working life, a paycheck arrives whether you think about it or not. In retirement, that stops, and replacing it becomes one of the most important financial considerations.
We build a retirement income plan that answers the question: Will I have enough money to retire comfortably?
We also plan for the parts of retirement that are easy to underestimate: healthcare costs, sequence-of-returns risk, and the adjustment of shifting from saving to spending. Retirement planning is an important piece of securing your future while living in the present.
